The amount of each B vitamin required varies. The UK’s Department of Health recommends a different intake of each of the eight B vitamins, however for vitamin B1, it is advised that men aged 19 to 64 get 1 milligram (mg) every day, whilst women aged 19 to 64 get 0.8mg each day.
Vitamin B1 is water soluble, which means it is excreted from our body when we urinate. So therefore, we need to ensure we get enough each and every day.
