Celebrating our partnership with Vitabiotics Wellkid – 110,000 meals funded

As we mark the second anniversary of our partnership with Vitabiotics Wellkid, we’re taking a moment at Felix to reflect on the difference their support has made for children and families across the UK.

We began working together in 2024 because we share a simple but powerful belief: that every child should have access to the vital nutrition essential for their growth and development. Yet today, 1 in 7 people in the UK can’t afford enough food, including 3 million children. At the same time, 4.6 million tonnes of good‑to‑eat food goes to waste each year, enough for 10 billion meals.

Felix – formerly FareShare UK and The Felix Project – works to close that gap by redistributing surplus food to over 8,000 charities and community organisations across the UK. Many of these charities support children and families through after‑school clubs, breakfast provision, youth groups, nurseries or family centres. This couldn’t happen without support.

That support has meant good food reaching people who need it, instead of going to waste.

Vitabiotics has also proudly championed our mission by featuring our logo on Wellkid packs, helping raise awareness of the scale of food insecurity and the practical solutions available.

Behind every meal delivered is a moment of joy or relief – a child enjoying a healthy breakfast, a parent relieved there’s a meal on the table for their child that day, or a nursery able to stretch its budget further to support growing children. These human stories are the foundation of our partnership.
