Meet Katie, our newest TalkMum blogger!

Mum of two Katie Ellison from Mummy Daddy Me joins us to share her experiences of pregnancy and motherhood...

Hello I’m Katie and I am super excited to be joining the TalkMum team. Over the next few months I am going to be doing monthly videos and blog posts for the TalkMum team, chatting about my previous two pregnancies, family life and motherhood.

So a little about me. I am a mummy to two little girls, Mads aged 4 and LL aged 2. (I use nicknames for them on my blog) I live in Cambridgeshire with my husband Jon and as a job I have a freelance social media consultancy and I am also a blogger. I have been writing my blog Mummy Daddy Me for over four years now and it’s become a huge part of our lives.

I started it as a means to express my creativity and to chat to other mums while on maternity leave with my eldest daughter but it has grown into so much more than that. I have developed passions, met true real life friends and had so many amazing opportunities along the way. I feel so thankful that a hobby has developed into my career.

Vlogging and filming myself is something which I am fairly new at. I have been filming little films of our travels and adventures for a while now over on our YouTube channel, but vlogging is something which is a bit of a learning curve for me. I am part of an extremely talented group of ladies over on Channel Mum where I make videos, but I am also really excited to be joining the TalkMum team too.

I used Pregnacare Conception while trying to conceive and even got my husband to take Wellman Conception too. I used Pregnacare throughout the whole of my pregnancies, as well as while breastfeeding too, so I am a big supporter of the brand. I wanted to do everything I could to help my baby grow healthily and I realised just how important folic acid, B12 and vitamin D is during pregnancy - I tried to eat all the right foods but also thought it was important to take a supplement too.

I am really looking forward to sharing my tips and experiences on the TalkMum blog and in videos too - watch my first one below!
