Woodford Green and Essex Ladies athlete Mark Dry, a former Moray and Clydebank rugby player and Moray Flying Club pilot rose to become Britain’s No1 hammer thrower in 2009. In 2010 injury and illness ruined his season but Mark still gained selection to represent Scotland at the Commonwealth games in Delhi placing 6th in the final. Marks main aims now are to break the long standing Scottish Record held by his former coach and qualify for the Olympic Games in London 2012.

“I started using the Wellman products at the end of my 2010 season to help me get through the hard slog that is winter training for many power athletes. I was quickly up to where I finished my winter in 2009 and then produced several personal bests in the gym early on in my training, giving me a really strong platform to base my 2011 season on and I put a lot of that down to using Wellman supplements as I was feeling a lot fresher allowing me to push harder to gain the edge I needed. Working full time and training can really take its toll and I used to feel low in energy but Wellman supplements is definitely helping me in a very short space of time.
Through the high impact nature of my sport at training, using Jointace gel and tablets has really contributed to help keep my joints working properly so I spend more time training than icing!”

David Webb started competing in the Marathon in 2010. He initially struggled with injury during this period and had to reassess his plans. Since receiving nutritional and supplement advice from Vitabiotics he has been able to get his plans back on track. David is excited about his prospects at the World Championships and is currently plotting the hard work that will hopefully lead to a successful race and the opportunity to compete in London 2012.

“The extreme physical demands of the marathon place the body under enormous stress. The event lasts over two hours and places a great emphasis on endurance which is why my training volume often exceeds 200km per week. Juggling this regime with a full time job places a real premium on maintaining consistent energy levels throughout the day and ensuring that I meet all my nutritional requirements. I began taking Wellman supplements shortly after competing for Great Britain in the European Championships, during a period when I was struggling to meet these challenges. I have been able to access my energy more efficiently and I am confident that with the continuing support of Vitabiotics I will achieve my goals at the World Athletics Championships this summer and succeed in my efforts to compete at London 2012.”
