Wellman® Conception Max provides maximum support from the Wellman range with a convenient dual‑pack, containing specific nutrients chosen for their role in fertility and reproduction. For extra support Wellman Conception Max delivers higher levels of key minerals such as zinc and magnesium, amino acids such as L-Carnitine and L-Arginine as well as other nutrients like Pine Bark Extract and Coenzyme Q10. This advanced product also includes N-Acetyl Cysteine, plus a high purity Omega-3 capsule providing DHA and EPA (which are not present in Wellman Conception).

Fertility and Reproduction

Wellman Conception Max is a comprehensive formulation with specific nutrients, including zinc which contributes to normal fertility and reproduction. Zinc and vitamin C also contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, an important consideration for healthy sperm production as sperm can be damaged by free radicals. These nutrients also help contribute to the normal function of the immune system.

Zinc is arguably one of the most important minerals for the male reproductive system as semen contains 100 times more zinc than is found in the blood. In fact each ejaculate contains around 0.5mg of zinc. Wellman Conception Max provides 25mg of zinc.

Sperm contain a large amount of Omega-3 fatty acids, just like the brain and eyes. Wellman Conception Max provides a carefully balanced, comprehensive advanced formulation of micronutrients plus Omega-3 capsules for the optimal maintenance of reproductive health in men.

Why is nutrition important in male fertility?

Sperm can be highly susceptible to free radical or oxidative damage from environmental toxicants and natural aging. Vitamins C and E, and selenium are all potent antioxidants that may help maintain sperm counts and quality by reducing free radical damage. Zinc and B vitamins (especially B6 and B12) are critical nutrients in male reproductive systems for several reasons, including hormone metabolism, sperm formation and motility. The amino acids, L-arginine and L-carnitine have also been shown to play an important role in the formation of healthy sperm. Fish oil is associated with higher sperm count, quality and improved levels of hormones that contribute to male fertility.

How many tablets does one pack of Wellman Conception Max contain?

Wellman Conception Max contains 56 micronutrient tablets (take two per day) and 28 Omega-3 capsules (take one per day) per pack, providing a 28-day supply.

How and when should Wellman Conception Max be used?

Two micronutrient tablets plus one Omega-3 capsule should be taken per day with your main meal, with a full glass of water or a cold drink. Taking the supplement with a large meal maximises the absorption of the nutrients and can reduce nausea which is sometimes experienced if multivitamins are taken on an empty stomach. Wellman Conception Max should only be taken on a full stomach. Always ensure that Wellman Conception Max is taken with plenty of liquid to wash down the tablet and capsule. We do not recommend chewing the tablets or capsules because they have not been formulated as chewable preparations.

Are there any undesired effects whilst taking Wellman Conception Max?

Wellman Conception Max has no known side-effects when taken as directed. Do not exceed the recommended tablet intake. In case of overdose, seek medical advice immediately.

Both products provide a carefully balanced comprehensive formulation of micronutrients for the maintenance of reproductive health in women, including the specific nutrients: inositol, N-Acetyl Cysteine and selenium. The formula also includes folic acid at 400 µg, the exact recommended level for all women who are trying for a baby, to help safeguard the early stages of foetal development.

Some Nutrient Reference Values (NRV - recommended levels) are above 100%. Is this safe?

Certain vitamins are very safe at levels tens or even hundreds of times the NRV, whereas for others the safety level is much closer to the NRV.
