Ideal for contact lens wearers
Visionace® can be used by contact lens wearers or those working long hours at a computer screen. Vitamin A, B2 and Niacin contribute to the maintenance of normal mucus membranes. Antioxidants such as vitamins A, C and E are necessary for mucus production and can help the immune system maintain the health of the conjunctiva, the soft tissue around the eye. Secondly, Magnesium and Zinc contribute to the normal protein synthesis.
Ageing and the eyes
Antioxidant nutrients such as vitamins B2, C, E and minerals Copper, Manganese, Selenium and Zinc all contribute to the protection of cell constituents from oxidative damage. Both the retina and lens are believed to be at risk of oxidation from free radicals. These are produced by many factors including sunlight or cigarette smoke. Our in-built repair mechanisms which fight such free radical damage become progressively less effective as we get older, and for a significant minority, lead to ageing of the macula, the part of the retina responsible for detailed vision. Ageing of the eye lens is also thought to mediated by free radical damage.
All-round support for eye health The Visionace® formula contains a complete spectrum of nutrients such as vitamin A, B2 and the antioxidant zinc to contribute to the maintenance of normal vision. Vitamin B1, B2, B6, C, Niacin and mineral Copper which contributes to the normal function of the nervous system. The retina contains one of the highest concentrations of Zinc and Visionace® provides 150% of the recommended daily allowance.
