UK Dept of Health recommendation on
Vitamins A, C & D For Children
Growing children sometimes don't get enough vitamins A and C. It's also difficult to get enough vitamin D through food alone. The UK Department of Health recommends children aged 6 months to 5 years* take vitamins A, C and D every day. It's recommended that breastfed babies* are given a daily vitamin D supplement from birth. *Unless they are drinking 500ml or more of infant formula a day, as infant formula has vitamins added to it.
