Menopace® with extra night time support.

Many women worry about the menopause and are unsure of what to expect. Strictly speaking, the menopause is a woman's last menstrual period, but it is often spoken of in general terms as a change which takes place over several years as oestrogen production declines. The average age of the menopause is 51, but it does vary from woman to woman. Some stop menstruating in their 40s, some in their mid-60s. A small number have an early menopause, before the age of 40.

The menopause often occurs when other changes are taking place, children may be leaving home or having children themselves, or elderly relatives may need looking after. Some of the issues that occur around the time of the menopause can be distressing.

Helpful advice for a good night’s sleep
• Wear loose clothing to bed.
• Use 100% cotton sheets and nightclothes as these keep you cooler.
• Keep your bedroom cool and well-ventilated. Make sure bedroom noise is controlled and that the room is dark when sleeping.
• Avoid certain foods that may cause sweating (such as spicy foods), especially right before bed.
• Keep a glass of water by your bed. • Maintain a regular bedtime schedule, including going to bed at the same time every night.
• Exercise regularly but not right before sleep.
• Avoid caffeine and alcohol • Avoid naps during the day, which can prevent you from sleeping well at night.
• Eat a light snack containing protein, especially tryptophan, before bed. This would include milk, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, bananas, fish, and turkey.
• Do not reflect upon the day's events or your "to do" list in the hour or two before bed.

Night time can often be the most difficult time for women
Menopace® Night is a specially formulated food supplement for women during and after the menopause that are looking for additional support at night to help promote a restful night’s sleep. Sleep disturbances during the menopause affect approximately 61% of menopausal and can cause a shorter amount of time sleeping and a higher incidence of arousals from sleep. Disturbances bring women from a deeper, more restful stage of sleep to a lighter, less restful and restorative stage, and can therefore cause other problems such as tiredness and daytime drowsiness.
